Paltalk Malaria Business Leadership Conference 2006"Inspiring the World" The Malaria Foundation’s second annual business leadership conference was celebrated on December 5, 2006, a week prior to the first White House sponsored Malaria Summit. Hosted by Emory University, at the School of Law, and sponsored by PaltalkTM , this event engaged students and professional leaders from many diverse areas in the global fight against malaria: medicine, public health, sports, entertainment, education, the media, marketing, economic development, etc. The MBLC goals are to bring many relevant disciplines together, hear new viewpoints, gain novel insights, inspire, and be inspired to End Malaria. A press release prior to the conference includes the program’s speakers and presentations. One highlight to visually demonstrate the importance of economic development was a fashion show by the award-winning House of Henri from Lagos, Nigeria. The events, lectures and fashion show can be viewed in the video webcast (part 1 and part 2) and photographs. Supportive messages from former President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Laura Bush embrace the leading role of MFI in the fight against malaria. MFI acknowledges the support of volunteers from the International Center for Malaria Research and Education (ICMRE) of Emory University.
