The Southern Sudan Medical Project

March 2008

Dr. Carlos Franco-Paredes and his colleagues from Atlanta, Utah and Texas visited the Wanyjok, Aweil in the Bahr el Ghazal State in Southern Sudan. They were a few miles away from Darfur....

During their visit they provided mass deworming for 2000 patients including albendazole, praziquantel, multivitamin and distributed 250 bednets. In addition, they treated multiple cases of malaria. Most of them laboratory confirmed, other only presumptively diagnosed. But this is not enough, oh no, this is not enough!
