Scout Troops/SLAM  Celebrate WMD 2008

A group of 12 scouts helped SMI promote malaria prevention activites in 5 villages of the Health District.

SMI requested malaria training to the National Malaria Program, and the director and his 34 NURSES and MID-WIVES went through a refresher program on Malaria prevention which laid emphasis on  Mosquito-net RE-TREATMENT procedures.

We then went on to train the members of the Scout Movement and these young boys and girls are visiting the 5 villages under the leadership of SMI and the Health District Malaria Program supervisor.
