CHOI KWANG DO INTERNATIONAL has teamed up with MALARIA FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL to help in the fight against Malaria. Thus far, chapters of Choi Kwang Do International  from Georgia and Michigan have joined the Malaria Awareness Campaign.

Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International (CKD) celebrated its first three months since launching a "Martial Art Blue Ribbon Fight to End Malaria" in partnership with the Malaria Foundation International (MFI).  Instructors and students gathered from throughout Georgia, Michigan and Florida, USA for the occasion.  Grandmaster Kwang Jo Choi, the founder of CKD, and Grandmaster Woo were in attendance, along with MFI leaders Drs. Mary Galinski, Esmeralda Meyer, Cindy Korir and Balwan Singh.   Master Pereira and International Chief Instructor Mr. Charles Spence, Jr. opened the ceremonial event by addressing the crowd, thanking everyone for their special dedication.  

Over $20,000 has been raised to support the Malaria Foundation's fight against this disease.   Dr. Galinski, President of the MFI, indicated that the funds would be used to support educational projects beginning in Kenya, Botswana and India.

On April 25^th, Malaria Awareness Day & Africa Malaria Day, Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International will launch a malaria awareness, education and fundraising campaign worldwide in partnership with the Malaria Foundation International (MFI).  End Malaria - Blue Ribbons help engage supporters.

Choi Kwang Do Joins Forces With Malaria Foundation International   February 13, 2007.  Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International is proud to announce its partnership with the Malaria Foundation International (MFI), and support the foundation’s End Malaria – Blue Ribbon Campaign. This partnership develops as CKD celebrates its 20th anniversary .
