The Malaria Awards Ceremony was established by the MFI to honor leaders in the fight against malaria. At the inaugural Malaria Awards Ceremony held in Atlanta, Georgia in May 2006, MFI recognized heroes in the sciences, business, media, and education for their efforts in malaria control and eradication.

MFI is currently accepting nominations for its 2007 Annual Malaria Awards Ceremony, to honor 2006 accomplishments.
